**Agartala, September 23:** A joint campaign meeting of the BJP, Tipra Motha and IPFT was held at Chandranath Thakurpara Anganwadi Centre under Radhacharan Village Committee in the Kalyanpur–Pramodnagar constituency on Wednesday, ahead of the September 28 Village Committee elections in Tripura.
The meeting was convened to campaign for the alliance’s nominated candidate and brought together local residents and workers of the three parties. MLA Pinaki Das Choudhury and Mandal president Nitai Bal were among those present.
Speakers at the meeting focused on development-related issues in the area and discussed the need to address local infrastructure and welfare requirements.
They called for greater coordination between residents and elected representatives to facilitate the implementation of development programmes and address issues at the grassroots level.
The alliance leaders also spoke about peace, harmony and development, while appealing to voters to back the joint candidate in the upcoming Village Committee election.
The programme formed part of the alliance partners’ ongoing constituency-level campaign ahead of polling on September 28, with local leaders and party workers participating in outreach activities.
Campaigning by candidates and political parties is continuing across Tripura ahead of the Village Committee polls.
