Agartala, May 3: A well coordinated rescue mission by Under Water Deep Diving team led to recovery of Rakesh Shill’s body from a local river at Ishwan Chandranagar under Amtali police station on Sunday.
Rakesh went missing in the river three-day back and following the report, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and TSR personnel launched massive rescue operation. On Sunday morning, his body was recovered from the river. The incident sparked shock in the locality.
After receiving the information, a police team rushed to the spot and recovered the body. Later, he body was taken to Tripura Medical College (TMC) for post mortem amidst reports of foul play in the incident. Police have already undertaken investigation into the drowning case.
