Agartala, March 25: Senior leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party intensified their campaign for the upcoming TTAADC elections, as Transport and Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury and State BJP president Rajib Bhattacharjee participated in massive rallies on Wednesday, supporting party candidates during their nomination filing.
The rallies were organized in favour of BJP nominees Abhijit Debbarma from the 15-Jirania constituency and Rajesh Debbarma from the 16-Mandai-Pulinpur constituency. Thousands of party workers and supporters joined the processions, reflecting strong grassroots mobilization and enthusiasm ahead of the crucial elections to the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC).
The rallies passed through key areas, with participants raising slogans and expressing confidence in the party’s leadership. The atmosphere was marked by visible energy and unity among party cadres, as the candidates proceeded to submit their nomination papers before the Returning Officer.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said the spontaneous participation of people in the rallies clearly reflects public support for development, peace, and stability. He expressed strong confidence that the BJP would emerge victorious in the upcoming ADC elections, citing the growing trust of the people in the party’s governance.
State BJP president Rajib Bhattacharjee also addressed party workers and supporters, emphasizing the party’s commitment to the holistic development of Tripura’s tribal communities. He noted that empowering indigenous populations remains central to the vision of building a “Developed Tripura.” According to him, the overwhelming turnout and enthusiasm witnessed during the nomination rallies are clear indicators of the BJP’s strong electoral prospects.
Both leaders reiterated that the party’s focus remains on inclusive growth, improved infrastructure, and better livelihood opportunities in ADC areas. They urged party workers to maintain the momentum and ensure effective outreach at the grassroots level.
The rallies not only showcased BJP’s organizational strength but also underlined its confidence as the TTAADC elections approach, with the party aiming to consolidate support across constituencies.
