Agartala: Jan 13: Tipra Matha Dal Chairman Pradyot Kishore Deb Barman has written to the ruling party’s alliance partner IPFT indicating the message of alliance for the sake of the people in the upcoming assembly elections. He sent this letter to Minister and IPFT Executive President Prem Kumar Reang. A new alliance equation is emerging in state politics ahead of assembly elections. It should be noted that since 2018, the government has IPFT as a partner party of BJP. This year the government has completed five years and the voting hours are going to ring.
But in the meantime, it was seen that Minister Narendra Chandra Debbarma passed away on the first day of the year. He was the supremo of the IPFT party. But with his death, the party is about to lose its existence. A new picture has already appeared. Tipra Matha supremo Pradyot Kishore Deb Barman has written to IPFT working president Prem Kumar Reang urging them to come together for Greater Tipraland and Tipraland demands ahead of the upcoming assembly elections. In a letter to Prem Kumar Reang, Pradyot Kishore Deb Barman wrote that since 2009, the IPFT has been democratically striving to decentralize the TTAADC areas to Tipraland under Articles 2, 3, and 4 of the Constitution of India. The Tipraha Adivasi Progressive Regional Alliance is also demanding a ‘Greater Tipraland’ state under Articles 2, 3, and 4 of the Constitution of India. This demand is being made for the survival and existence of Tiprasa. Therefore, he expressed in the letter that the highest priority should be given.
In the letter, he pointed out that there is no difference between the claims of Greater Tipraland and Tipraland. So the Tiprasaras want a permanent constitutional solution. He also mentioned in the letter, not to be lured by various political parties for lucrative positions or money. Then the future of Tiprasa will not disappear anymore. But this shows that this time the regional parties are desperately trying to come together. Rumors have also been created about whether BJP or Congress and CPIM will join forces with Tipra Matha. But in today’s letter it is clear that Pradyot Kishore Deb Barman is not following the demand.
However, it is difficult to say how much this tangle will be cut before the upcoming assembly elections. Although all the political parties want to side with Matha because all political parties dream of establishing a government with mountains. And in the language of the left, for 25 long years the mountain was its government. Especially during the tenure of the Left Front government, after securing twenty seats in hill, the counting of seats for their majority started. In 2018 too, it was seen that BJP increased the number of seats on the shoulders of the IPFT party in the state. But will the elections go ahead this year or will the regional parties unite and compete with the national parties. Several such questions are circulating in the political sphere.
