Twipra Students Federation (TSF), Tripura Manipuri Students Youth Coordination Committee (TMSYCCO), Tripura Jharkhandi Samaj Unnayan Parishad (TJSUS) urged the public of Manipuri to restore peace and harmony back in the state.
Speaking to reporters, John Debbarma, general secretary of the TSF in presence of representatives of the other youth organisations during a joint press conference in Agartala on Tuesday said that the current situation in that state is due to the failure of that state government and the centre.
Debbarma said that it is not only a concern of the state rather the region.
He said that both the state and the centre should take immediate necessary steps towards amicably resolving the issue to normalise the situation and ensure peace in the state through dialogue between all concerned communities to bring back the lost confidence among themselves.
He demanded for compensation for the victims despite irreparable losses of many lives in the recent violence in Manipur.
Meantime, S Bimal Singha, general secretary of the TMSYCCO criticized the High Court decision and viewed that due to administrative failure of the BJP led government there erupted the recent communal riots inorder to cover their failures and divide people.
The student organizations also demanded that all examinations especially those of colleges and universities should be postponed until the situation normalises and students are able to return back as large section of students who from other states were studying in Manipur have been evacuated and even those of that state have been affected by the conflict.
