Agartala: Apr 03: Under able guidance of Sh.Subrat Kumar Mishra, IGP Tripura Sector, 71 Bn CRPF an inspiring volley ball tournament has been organized here in Tankir Bazar, Jirania, West Tripura today. Sh. Khekato Aye, (Second-In-Commandant-71 Bn CRPF) welcomed the participating teams and invited all players of Tripura under civic action 2023 to maintain a healthy and competitive spirit in sports and also in other aspects of life as well. Speaking on the occasion he said that it is an endeavor of CRPF to serve the people of the country through public-friendly and sensitive policing. Civic Action Program are being organized to foster good relationship with the local people. The event witnessed a huge gathering of students, teachers and locals of the area participating teams. The aim of organizing sports events was to provide opportunities to the youth of far flung areas to display their talent in the field of sports. In all 06 teams participated in the game, One team of Yakhili Academy Khumulwng, one team of Ekvalaya (EMRS) Khumulwng, one team from Devta Para Santi mission School, one team of united team Khumulwng and two teams from CRPF. All the participating teams excluding CRPF were provided with sports gears. Sh. K.K. Mukhopadhyay (2 VC Ops), Sh.B.S Shukla (D/C) Sh. Yogesh Kumar (D/C), Sh.Harishankar Prasad (A/C) along unit personnel were present in the programme. The general public & civil administrative praised and welcomed the noble effort taken by CRPF for its generous social initiative and support in cementing police public cooperation.
