Agartala: Nov 17: 10,323 sacked teachers Kamal Dev strongly protested the Chief Minister’s comments. Addressing a press conference in front of the Agartala Press Club on Thursday, he said the Chief Minister had assured on September 28 that after Lakshmi Puja, he would take a decision by the middle of Diwali to resolve the issue of 10,323 sacked workers in consultation with legal advisers. But even after 47 days, the Chief Minister has not taken any decision till now.
Chief Minister is campaigning in Gandachara and Kumarghat, those sacked are people from Red House. The previous government gave them jobs selectively. So the current government did not give them jobs and did not eat. And so far six Janjati teachers have passed away due to the frustration after such nonsense comments of the Chief Minister. So the question to the Chief Minister and the current education minister of the state is why the government has been formed with promises in 2014 and 2017 when the high court and the apex court gave their verdict. And the government came to power by its dismissed teachers.
Therefore, the dismissed teachers and their families are disappointed by such statements of the Chief Minister. He said that many sick dismissed teachers are getting depressed after hearing such comments from the guardian of the state. He claimed that the Chief Minister can move the school through the Supreme Court’s clarification through EWS. If the government wants, it can observe it in the perspective of humanity.
Meanwhile, dismissed teacher Ajay Debbarma said that due to the wrong policy of the government, they have to be dismissed for 33 months. But the High Court and the Supreme Court have not found the sacked teachers guilty anywhere. In the meantime, if the government does not take a positive role, then they will be forced to take further steps, he warned.
