Agartala, March 28:Maharani Kriti Devi Singh Debbarma, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate contesting for the East Tripura constituency under the BJP symbol, officially entered the electoral fray by submitting her nomination papers.
The submission took place at Ambassa to DM Dhalai district Saju Wahid, who also serves as the returning officer for the parliamentary constituency.
The event was marked by a spirited rally, as a large contingent of supporters from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), TIPRA Motha, and Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) thronged the streets, proudly displaying their respective party flags.
The rally commenced from Dolubari and traversed over 10 kilometers before culminating at Jaharnagar, painting the town with vibrant hues of political fervor.
Prominent figures graced the occasion, including Chief Minister Manik Saha, the TIPRA Motha supremo, Pradyot Kishore Debbarma, BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee, along with other senior leaders representing NDA partner parties.
Their presence underscored the significance of Maharani Kriti Devi Singh Debbarma’s candidacy and the collective support she enjoys from the alliance.
The submission of nomination papers and the accompanying rally not only symbolize the commencement of electoral campaigns but also reflect the unity and enthusiasm among the NDA constituents as they gear up for the upcoming electoral battle in East Tripura and the party leadership viewed that are confident of winning the election in both East and West Tripura parliamentary constituency.
