Agartala, March 23:INDIA alliance has broken down to INDI and in coming day it shall be a single alphabet said Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Saturday.
Speaking to reporter in Agartala Saha during the launching of campaign for Agartala Mayor Dipak Majumder, and whose name was declared a day ago as the BJP candidate for the by-election of Ramnagar assembly constituency said, “INDIA is no more there, it has turned into INDI because they no more have their alliance. I am sure gradually they shall come down to a single alphabet and it is happening. In West Bengal it (alliance) is not happening.”
He added, “It can be well understood that their alliance is just an eyewash. They thought that if the name is INDIA they shall be able to befool the public, but people understand everything. Now the name has become INDI.”
Saha started the campaign along with Majumder after worshiping in a local temple here and from Colonel Chowmhuni area.
The Chief Minister said that the main issue in this election is development which the people of India and Tripura are experiencing under the ten years of BJP government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Saha said that seeing the huge response across Tripura, he is confident that BJP will win both Lok Sabha seats and the by-election of Ramnagar assembly constituency which is taking place due to the death of popular BJP MLA Surajit Datta, who was seven times elected from there.
Quashing the allegation brought by the opposition parties Saha said, “The Opposition have no issues. We can now see they are going behind the bars and it is due to their deeds.”
On the allegation that Maharani Kriti Singh Debbarma, the BJP candidate for ST reserved East Tripura is an outsider and cannot relate with the issue of the tribal people, Saha said that she is the daughter of Maharaj Kirit Bikram and she is Debbarma, daughter of the state.
Dipak Majumder also reiterated the Chief Minister and viewed that this election is happening on the issue of development across India under the BJP and he is cent percent confident of his victory.
