A protest was held in favor of the CPM at Bilonia railway station on Sunday demanding the announcement of stoppage of the Kanchenjunga Express train at Bilonia, the southern district headquarters. On behalf of the CPM Bilonia Divisional Committee, the demand for all long-distance trains, including the long-distance Kanchenjunga Express, to stop at Bilonia, as per the government’s announcement, has been demanded to speedily launch additional demo trains from Bilonia. Stoppage of Kanchenjunga Express was announced at Udaipur, Sabrum, but no stoppage was given at South District Headquarter Bilonia railway station. This caused anger among the citizens of Bilonia Mahakuma. A demand certificate was presented to the Bilonia Railway Station Master on Sunday on behalf of the CPM Bilonia Divisional Committee. On behalf of the CPM, it was demanded that all long-distance trains, including the Kanchenjunga Express, start superfast local trains from Bilonia with stoppages at Bilonia and initiate Bangladesh rail connectivity with Bilonia railway station.
