Agartala: Nov 19: On the celebration of 105th birthday anniversary of former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on Saturday in Tripura capital Agartala Congress paid tribute to the late leader and launched the Bharat Jordo, Tripura Bachao Abhiya.
In the line of Bharat Jordo Yatra, led by Rahul Gandhi and which according to Congress is a great success, the Tripura Pradesh Congress started the ten days ‘padyatra’ today in presence of all senior Congress leaders of the state including state president Birajit Sinha, MLA Sudip Roy Barman, former CM Samir Ranjan Barman, Gopal Chandra Roy, Asish Kumar Saha, Szarita Laitphlang who is also AICC incharge Tripura.
During this period all total 16 team across the state shall simulations walk on foot some 1200 Km covering all 60 assembly constituencies of the state informed AICC incharge for Tripura Dr Ajay Kumar speaking to reporters in the Congress Bhavan in Agartala.
He claimed that regional parties are fine in their respective regions but nationally it is only Congress which is capable of giving tough fight against the BJP and teach them lesson.
Dr Kumar alleged that the people of Tripura are fed up with the atrocities of BJP goons who have totally destroyed the state.
He added that the ruling party goons have been attacking people beside vandalising properties, with increasing crime, murder, rapes, inflation, unemployment, corruption, drugs etc since BJP came to power.
The AICC incharge urged the people of the state to get themselves involved in the fight against all these by joining the Bharat Jordo, Tripura Bachao walk and thus strengthen the Congress to not only save but also change Tripura.
The senior Congress leader added like the historic Bharat Jordo Yatra, here also similar program is taking place and during which the Congress leaders shall discuss with the local population about their concern issues and accumulate the information to form strategies planning for a better future of the state and the nation.He thanked the Congress leadership for successfully arranging the Bharat Jordo, Tripura Bachao Abhiya and which will be a 10 days program.
