Agartala: Nov 15: Historical and cultural heritage sites are important areas to know about the past. Whoever comes to this place will return enriched. Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath said this while addressing the chief guest at the opening ceremony of the three-day exhibition of historical and cultural heritage of Tripura organized at the Art Gallery of Agartala City Center under the initiative of the Department of Higher Education.
He said that this exhibition is a memory and document at a time which is especially needed by the government especially for administrative work. He also said that if the past record is not known, the work path is not smooth. The Education Minister said that such exhibitions have an important role not only for government work but also for academicians, writers, researchers and students.
This exhibition has been organized considering the government needs. He said that the present and the future are based on the past, so it is the duty of all of us to keep the history alive. Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumdar was present as the guest of honor on the occasion. Higher Education Board Chairman Prof. Arunoday Saha spoke on the occasion as a special guest. NC Sharma, Director of Higher Education delivered the welcome speech and delivered the vote of thanks.
