Ampi, 12th of May 2023. The rape case incident which took place in a rubber garden in Tingharia under Ampi PS in Gomati Tripura on 11.05.2023 at about 3.30 am has created unsteady amidst the people of the locality. Two minor girls were allegedly gang raped in the Tingharia area here. As per the report, those girls came to Boishakhi Mela in Amar Pur Chandibari premises and later they were taken by some indigenous boys by bike to that rubber garden for gossiping and relax in this isolated place. As per the report, there were total 9 boys and 2 girls. Sources said these two girls were in touch with some boys of this group through net earlier just as friend. The boys found the place isolated and committed the crime in the rubber garden. After that the parents of the victims came to know every thing from these victim girls and filed case against these criminals. The police of Ampi and Birganj became active to nabb all the accused criminals. As per the latest report, one prime accused teenager has been arreste and his name is Melarai Jamatia (19) S/O Jugal Kishore Jamatia of Tingharia village under Ampi Nagar PS. Case number- No-2023/OMP/004/, Date-11/05/2023, U/S 376 D/506/34 of IPC and 5 (g) of POSCO Act 2012. He was sent to court today from Ampi PS. The police has registered the other 8 criminals’ name and they are Ranjit Jamatia, (19), Hakuk Jamatia, (20), Kartik Jamatia, (26)
Nata Jamatia, (23), Falas Jamatia, (27), Rabin Jamatia and Apter Jamatia, (18). These accused criminals are inhabitants of Tingharia village under Ampi PS. The police is searching them and if court found them guilty then their life will be vanished in jail.
