Agartala: May 05: A group of job-seeking youths staged a peaceful protest and submitted a deputation to the Inspector General (IG) of Jail Police, urging immediate action to complete the long-pending recruitment process for jail warden posts. The protest was sparked by the continued delay in conducting the written examination for 249 advertised positions, which were originally notified in 2022.
The aspirants demanded a clear timeline for the completion of the recruitment process.
They urged the authorities to take swift action to finalize the recruitment procedure without further delay.
The protestors also made a direct plea to the Chief Minister, requesting immediate intervention to ensure the recruitment process is completed.
The aspirants have submitted nearly 20 deputations over the past three years, but have received no satisfactory response from the concerned authorities. The delay has severely affected the morale and career prospects of hundreds of unemployed youths, who are hopeful that the administration will take their concerns seriously and act promptly.
