Agartala, April 25, 2025: The Unit Appreciation Ceremony for NCC Units of Tripura will be held today at the Governor’s Secretariat, where Honourable Governor Shri Nallu Indrasena Reddy will felicitate cadets and acknowledge the commendable achievements of the NCC in the state.
The event will celebrate the cadets who represented Tripura in the prestigious All India Thal Sainik Camp 2024 and Republic Day Camp 2025. These cadets will be honoured by the Governor for their excellence and dedication, which significantly contributed to Tripura NCC securing a top-4 ranking among all North Eastern Region (NER) NCC units.
Group Commander of Silchar Group, Brig. Kapil Sood, arrived in Tripura last evening and is currently staying at Hotel Polo Towers. During his visit, he is scheduled to meet with the award-winning institutions, including the Best College and Best School recognized for their active NCC participation and contributions.
The Honourable Governor is expected to address the gathering and encourage the cadets for their outstanding performance on national platforms, highlighting their role in bringing pride to the state and setting new benchmarks of excellence.
Colonel C. Rajasekhar, Commanding Officer of 13 TRIPURA BN NCC, expressed pride and satisfaction over the unit’s achievement of securing the 4th position in the North Eastern Region. He also shared a few key agendas to be discussed during the official meeting, focusing on the development and expansion of NCC infrastructure in Tripura. These include:
1. Seeking SGC for the establishment of a Group Headquarters in Tripura.
2. Proposal for the expansion of NCC through the raising of a new unit, 15 Tripura BN NCC.
3. Requesting SGC and NOC for the establishment of an NCC Academy in the state.
The event marks a significant step forward in recognizing and supporting the growth of NCC in Tripura.
