Agartala, April 15: Tripura welcomed Poila Boishakh, the Bengali New Year 1432, with vibrant colors, traditional fervor, and heartfelt celebrations.
Across the state, people greeted each other with “Shubho Noboborsho” and joined in cultural festivities.
In Agartala, the spirit of the day reached its peak with a beautiful cultural evening of Bangla dance, song and poetry organised by renowned cultural group ‘Kabyaloke’ celebrating the rich heritage of Bengali traditions.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from artists and citizens alike.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha also graced the occasion, appreciating the performances and extending his greetings to the people of Tripura.
He emphasized the importance of preserving and promoting Bengali cultural identity through such gatherings and hoped that the new year be peaceful and prosperous for all.
