Agartala: Mar 11: Rajib Bhattacharjee, the state BJP president and MP, launched a scathing attack on the previous Left-Congress government in Tripura, accusing the CPM and Congress of neglecting the state’s development and exploiting its people for political gain. Speaking in Parliament, Bhattacharjee criticized the two parties for failing to bring about meaningful change to the state’s infrastructure and public services, including healthcare .
Bhattacharjee highlighted the significant economic development under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, particularly in the northeastern region, and noted that Tripura has also benefited from this progress. He emphasized that the current BJP government has brought about unprecedented changes in various sectors, including healthcare, with enhanced medical infrastructure and better access to quality treatment.
In contrast, Bhattacharjee lamented that during the CPM and Congress regimes, the healthcare system in the state was neglected, and no serious efforts were made to improve it. He also accused the Communist regime of propagating a divisive and destructive ideology.
Bhattacharjee’s remarks underscore the BJP’s narrative that the previous governments had failed to deliver on their promises, and the current administration is committed to transforming the state and uplifting its people. This criticism highlights the BJP’s focus on showcasing its development agenda while positioning itself as the party of change and progress for Tripura.
