Agartala: Sept 15: A blood donation camp was organized at the Engineers’ Association office in Gorakhbasti on Sunday to commemorate Engineers’ Day. The event was inaugurated by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha.
The camp, held at the Engineers’ Association office in Gorakhbasti, was organized by the Public Works Department, Government of Tripura, and the Tripura Chapter of the Institution of Engineers. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Secretary Kiran Gitye, and other officials were present at the event.
During the inauguration, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha emphasized the critical role of blood in medical services, highlighting its necessity for patients with thalassemia, accident victims, pregnant women, and those undergoing surgery. He noted that despite scientific advancements, there is no substitute for human blood, and only donations can meet the demand. The Chief Minister encouraged everyone to donate blood and expressed his gratitude to the engineers for organizing the camp on Engineers’ Day.
