Agartala: July 30: Jishnu Deb Varman, the former Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura, is set to depart for Telangana on Wednesday morning. He has been appointed as the Governor of Telangana, marking the first time a citizen of Tripura has held this position.
Jishnu Deb Varman will leave from Agartala Airport at 8 am on Wednesday. Following the swearing-in ceremony, he will travel to Delhi the same evening to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 1st. He is expected to return to Telangana on either August 2nd or 3rd.
Before his departure, Jishnu Deb Varman offered prayers to the goddess Tripura Sundari at the temple on Tuesday. He was accompanied by Minister Pranjit Singh Roy and MLA Abhishek Debbarma.
