**Agartala, September 27:** Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu on Sunday listened to the 138th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio programme *Mann Ki Baat* at Lok Bhavan here.
Nallu attended the programme along with Lok Bhavan officers and employees, their family members, security personnel and CRPF personnel posted at the premises.
Speaking to the media, the Governor said *Mann Ki Baat* provides information on developmental activities, achievements and initiatives being undertaken across the country, while also highlighting issues of public concern and encouraging citizens to participate in nation-building.
He said the Prime Minister has regularly called upon citizens, particularly the youth, to contribute to the country’s development and progress, stressing the importance of collective participation and responsible citizenship.
Nallu also referred to the Prime Minister’s appeal to citizens to contribute towards making India free from drug abuse. He urged people to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drugs and work together towards building a drug-free society.
Referring to the *One District, One Product* (ODOP) initiative, the Governor urged people in Tripura to promote the state’s distinctive products and help them gain wider recognition in domestic and international markets.
He specifically called for greater promotion of Tripura’s bamboo resources, traditional bamboo products and indigenous food items produced locally.
Secretary to the Governor U.K. Chakma was also present at the programme.
