Agartala, July 1:
Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Wednesday held a courtesy meeting with Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi and discussed key road infrastructure projects in the state.
During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed the progress of ongoing National Highway construction works in Tripura and discussed measures to expedite the implementation of various road projects.
Senior officials of the Ministry and the state government were also present during the meeting.
The discussions also focused on the development of new National Highways and strengthening the state’s road connectivity infrastructure to improve transportation and support overall economic growth.
Earlier, senior officials of the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) visited Tripura to inspect the sites of several ongoing National Highway projects, where the pace of construction was found to be slow and the overall progress unsatisfactory.
