**Agartala, June 14:** The tragic death of **Priya Deb**, who died by suicide on Saturday morning, has sent shockwaves through her family and local community, sparking growing demands for a fair, transparent, and thorough investigation into the circumstances leading up to her death.
According to family members, Priya had been in a relationship with **Purab Dey** for the past three years. The couple entered into a registered marriage in **November 2025**. Purab, who works with a private company in Siliguri, had hosted Priya at his residence from **May 18 to June 10**. However, upon her return home, relatives noticed a significant change in her behavior. They described her as emotionally withdrawn, distressed, and unusually quiet.
On Friday night, just hours before the tragedy, Priya reportedly confided in her mother that she had discovered that Purab had cheated on her.
