Agartala: Dec 07: Hindu minorities in Bangladesh are facing insecurity. As a result, they are fleeing to Tripura with their families and seeking refuge. Ten such Bangladeshi citizens have been apprehended at Ambassa railway station.
Since the mass uprising in Bangladesh, Hindu minorities have been facing insecurity. Due to continuous persecution and harassment, many are crossing the border illegally in search of a safe haven. Many such infiltrators have been apprehended so far. Hindus from the neighboring country have been suffering from insecurity for a long time. In this situation, visa applications are suspended in the state. But illegal entry into the state by crossing the border continues.
On Saturday, Ambassa police arrested 10 Bangladeshi citizens. Among them are 5 minors, 2 women, and 1 elderly person. They were arrested from Ambassa railway station. They are currently being held at Ambassa police station.
Upon interrogation, the arrested individuals revealed that they had entered the state via Kamalpur on Saturday. They came to Ambassa station intending to go to Silchar. They have come to India, leaving behind their homes and everything, to escape the clutches of fundamentalists. They are currently detained at Ambassa police station.
