Agartala: Sept 09: Allegations of corruption have emerged regarding the JRBT Group D merit list, with accusations that the BJP government has provided jobs in exchange for money. These claims, raised by the state Youth Congress, suggest that deserving candidates have been deprived of jobs, while outsiders have been included in the list.
In response, party workers staged a demonstration in front of the JRBT office today. The protest led to a scuffle between the police and Congress workers. The demonstrators demanded the publication of a waiting list alongside the merit list.
Youth Congress president Neel Kamal Saha stated that after numerous requests, the merit list for Group C and Group D posts of JRBT was finally published. However, he claimed that the merit list for both posts is tainted by corruption, with many names appearing in Group C. A few days ago, MLA Sudip Roy Barman had also demanded in the Assembly that a waiting list be published along with the merit list.
Saha further alleged that deserving candidates were excluded from the published merit list, while outsiders were given jobs. He accused the BJP government of providing jobs in exchange for money, thereby depriving deserving candidates. In protest, the state Youth Congress demanded the publication of a waiting list along with the merit list and the results of the oral and written examinations of the candidates.
