Agartala: October 12. Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Thursday said that the representatives of Panchayats are the face of the Government and they play the key role in delivering the benefits of various Government works up to the last man of the society.
Dr Saha said this today addressing the Panchayat members of Gomati district during a training camp organized by the Pradesh Training Department of Bharatiya Janata Party at Udaipur today.
“The Bharatiya Janata Party believes in the overall welfare of the people. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also been working tirelessly to improve the socio-economic conditions of the poor. The present state government is also operating under the guidance of the Prime Minister. Party officials should strive to address people’s issues. The Bharatiya Janata Party needs to demonstrate through their actions that they stand with the people. This is how trust can be gained from the common citizens. In this context, the representatives of Panchayats serve as the face of the Government and play a pivotal role in ensuring the benefits of various Government initiatives reach every member of society,” said Dr. Saha.
As the Lok Sabha election approaches, the Chief Minister has intensified his efforts in various parts of the state and accordingly today he attended an event in Udaipur where he emphasized the need to strengthen the bond and develop a closer relationship between the party and the people.
“Especially as members of the Panchayat Samiti, you have a crucial role to play in connecting with people at the grassroots level. Panchayat representatives must work with greater sincerity,” Dr. Saha urged.
BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharya, Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Tinku Roy, MLA Abhishek Debroy, and others were present.
