CRPF, a road has been named in the commemoration of CRPF martyr namely “Sahid Uttam Kumar Singh Gurung Lane” who sacrificed his life for the sake of his mother land during counter-insurgency operations in
Assam on dated: 13’March 1999. The road leading from NH-8 to Sabrum
Sub-Jail towards Maitri Bridge, Netaji Para Ward No.04. is named as “Sahid Uttam Kumar Singh Gurung Lane”.
