Agartala, July 7: The Tripura Legislative Assembly has been in turmoil since the beginning of the Tripura Assembly session due to allegations of viewing a blue picture against Treasury Bench MLA Yadav Lal Nath. Speaker Bishwabandhu Sen expelled five MLAs from the opposition party on the chief minister’s motion. The opposition party walked out protesting the decision of the principal.
However, after the session started in the second half, the Chief Minister proposed to the Speaker to withdraw the expulsion of the five MLAs. Accordingly, the Speaker withdrew the expulsion motion and requested the five MLAs to attend the session.
The budget session in Tripura Assembly has started today. Finance Minister Pranjit Singh Roy started the budget speech amidst the uproar of the opposition over the issue of Treasury Bench MLA Yadav Lal Nath. The opposition went down to the well to keep chanting slogans and the Speaker Bishwabandhu Sen gave them a chance to calm down and discuss in the spring. But the opposition did not agree to the request of the principal but tried to take away the standard.
On the chief minister’s proposal, the president Bishvabandhu Sen has expelled five MLAs of the opposition party Sudip Roy Barman, Nayan Sarkar, Brisketu Debbarma, Ranjith Debbarma, Nandita Reang for the whole day today. The opposition party walked out protesting the decision of the Speaker. However, after the second half of the session began, the Chief Minister proposed to the Speaker to withdraw the expulsion of the five MLAs. Accordingly, the Speaker withdrew the expulsion order and requested the five MLAs to join the session.
