Agartala, June 6 (AD): Tripura has come a long way in education. Various educational institutions have been established in the state starting from dental colleges. This was said by the Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha in an exchange of views through video conference with the students who passed the secondary and higher secondary examinations today.
He also added that several schools in Tripura have come under the Vidyajyoti scheme. New schools have dominated this year’s secondary and higher secondary examination results.
On this day he told the students that the people of Tripura are happy with their results. His advice, along with good results, one has to perform one’s duty as a good citizen in the society. He expressed the hope that the meritorious students will shine the name of Tripura to the whole country. He claimed that the Tripura government has been trying to increase the quality of education in the universities of Tripura for higher education. By launching the Vidyajyoti scheme, the government has given special attention to the education of female students.
The chief minister expressed concern that more private tuitions are lagging behind meritorious students. He said that he will sit in discussion with the education department on why private tuition should be kept to a greater extent in Tripura.
