Agartala: Jan 07: The Tripura police has intensified its activities and large number of seizures are going on across the state as per the instruction of the Election Commission for a free and fair election scheduled here in the month of February. On Saturday the East Agartala Police station seized large quantity of foreign liquor bottles and bike lifters along with motorcycles. All total three persons have been arrested for different spots in connection to these cases and who shall be produced before the court on Sunday informed SDPO (subdivisional police officers) Sadar subdivision Ajay Kumar Das. Meantime, in Tripura since 22 November till date the police along with other agencies have confiscated various items including drugs and cash the total amount of which is around 12 crores informed Tripura’s Chief Electoral Officer Gitte Kirankumar Dinkarrao. He added that all these measures are to improve the law and order situation and to create conducive situations ahead of the elections.
