Agartala: Dec 18: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Dental College and State Institute of Hotel Management in Tripura. He also participated in the housewarming ceremony of the houses built under the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme. The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone of several road projects today.
Incidentally, the Prime Minister also dedicated some projects to the nation by laying the foundation stone and inaugurating several projects with an investment of more than Rs 4,350 crore in Tripura. Basically, the Prime Minister always strives to ensure that every poor family in the country can own a house. Residents of the Northeast are no exception. So the Prime Minister followed his original thinking and launched the ‘Griha Pravesh’ program in Tripura. He unveiled all the residences that have been built under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana’. These residences have been built at an investment of over Rs 3,400 crore. As a result, more than 2 lakh poor families will benefit.
In order to improve road connectivity in Tripura, the work of widening the Agartala bypass of National Highway No. 8 has also been started by the hands of the Prime Minister. The road from Khayerpur to Amtali will be widened and reconstructed. As a result, the problem of traffic congestion in Agartala city is expected to be solved to a large extent.
The Prime Minister today laid the foundation stone of 230 km long 32 roads under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. Besides, he also started the development work of 540 km long 112 roads on this day.
