Agartala: Nov 11: The streets of Teliamura have become unstable due to the rush of speeding helmetless bikes. And due to the speeding of these helmetless bikes, two consecutive serious accidents occurred in Teliamura police station area on Friday.
According to the information, highway of Teliamura has become unstable due to the speeding helmetless bikes for several days. On Friday, accidents involving speeding helmetless bikers took place in two separate areas under Teliamura police station. The first accident took place in Shibbari area under Teliamura police station. On this day, a bike in Shibbari area on the Assam-Agartala national highway towards Teliamura lost control due to speeding of the bike and two people on the bike were seriously injured. Immediately after receiving the information of the accident, the fire brigade personnel rescued the injured from the accident site and took them to Teliamura sub-district hospital. Within a few hours of this accident, a speeding bike without a helmet lost control and hit a rickshaw standing on the side of the road in Netaji Nagar area under Teliamura police station again and the rider of the bike was seriously injured. Immediately after receiving the information of the accident, the fire brigade personnel rescued the seriously injured young man from Netaji Nagar area and took him to Teliamura sub-district hospital.
A total of three people who were injured in two accidents at separate places in Teliamura police station area are currently undergoing treatment in Teliamura sub-district hospital in a critical condition.
According to Teliamura police station, due to shortage of officers in Teliamura police station, vehicle checking is not possible in Teliamura police station area.
