Agartala: Dec 17: Former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar’s wife Panchali Bhattacharjee was seriously injured in the car accident. She is currently undergoing treatment at GB Hospital Trauma Center. According to the details of the incident, Panchali Bhattacharjee, the former chief minister and opposition leader Manik Sarkar, met with an accident while returning by rickshaw after the party program in Mantri Bari Road area of the capital. A car rammed into the rickshaw coming from behind in the minister’s home area.
Panchali Bhattacharjee fell from the rickshaw. He suffered severe head injuries. She was rescued and first taken to IGM Hospital. From there she was transferred to GB Hospital. Panchali Bhattacharjee, wife of the opposition leader, is currently undergoing treatment in GB. He needs stitches on his head. CT scan and x-ray was done. He is under the doctor.
