Today, June 29, 2024, eleven Bangladeshi nationals were apprehended at Agartala railway station. The group, consisting of five females and six males, had illegally entered India from Bangladesh. Their intended destinations included major Indian cities such as Bangalore, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, and Odisha, which they planned to reach by train.
The Agartala GRP Police Station has taken up the case, and the arrested individuals are scheduled to be presented in court tomorrow. The detained Bangladeshi citizens are identified as follows: MD Sujan Rana (20), Azizul Shaik (30), MD Limon (19), Nargis Akhtar (34), MD Yousuf Ali (35), MD Sahidul Islam (26), Nipa Mandal (27), Akhe Begam (35), Omi Akhtar (35), Sajib Ali (19), and Asma Biswas (36).
