Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived at MBB Airport in Agartala on Sunday evening via a special flight. He was received by Chief Minister Manik Shah and BJP State President Rajib Bhattacharjee at the airport. Also present was former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, who is the BJP candidate for the West Tripura Parliamentary constituency. From there, Shah proceeded to a meeting with ministers and BJP MLAs at Hotel Polo Towers. Tomorrow, Shah is scheduled to address a public rally in Kumarghat, Northern Tripura, as part of his campaign for BJP candidate Maharani Kiriti Devi Singh Debbarma, who is contesting for the East Tripura Parliamentary constituency.
