Agartala: Dec 06: “The 67th death anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar observed on 6th December. The man who is known as the Father of the Indian Constitution was born on 14th April 1891. He fought for the social and economic empowerment of dalit Society, he eradicated untouchability and promoted gender equality in society”, said Chief Minister Manik Saha while remembered him on his death anniversary.
Chief Minister further said “due to his contributiuons to the country and society in general as social reformer, he was also awarded India’s highest civilian honour Bharat Ratna in the year 1990. His death anniversary on 6th December observed as Mahaprayan Divas”.
BJP SC Morcha organised a padayatra on 67th death anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar today. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha along with AMC Mayor Deepak Majumder and other leaders attend the rally.
