Agartala, December 23: The school education department has formed a three-member committee to conduct an overall investigation into the leak of pre-board examination question papers. Incidentally, there is an uproar across the state over the question paper leak. The opposition capitalized on this issue and took all the tricks to squeeze the state government.
Today, the Director of Education Rights in a press statement informed the formation of the investigation committee and said that the examination of Bengali subject of pre-board examination of secondary and higher secondary schools (except Vidyajyoti Vidyalaya) was postponed due to unforeseen reasons. The dates of these two exams will be announced in the alternative question paper at specific times. The examination of all the remaining subjects will be completed as per the pre-announced schedule. Candidates and concerned have no reason to worry. The office is taking appropriate role in this regard.
The office also said that legal action will be taken after identifying those involved in this undesirable incident. An FIR has already been lodged in this regard. Moreover, a three-member committee has been constituted for the overall investigation. The department is committed to transparency in all matters related to education.
