Agartala: Nov 29: World Buddhist Pope Association of Korea Shakya Gasan was laid foundation of the International Buddhist in South Tripura Manu Bankul today. On this occasion top officials of the Tripura government, Arunachal Pradesh deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, MLA Sankar Roy and Buddhist monk from Thailand Dr. pornchai Pinyapoong was also present in the foundation laying ceremony.
Students from 31 countries will get a chance to get study as well as carry out research on Buddhist literature, culture and tradition in the University. Dhamma Dipa International Buddhist University will be the first Buddhist University in India to be headed by Buddhist Monastics and run and monitored by Buddhist.
