Thinking about the future, the government has given special attention to the generation of electricity with the help of solar energy. Various efforts are being made for this. Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath said this while speaking at the inauguration ceremony of 33 KV Lembuchhara sub station on Friday. This substation has been built under the management of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited at a total cost of 6 crore 16 lakh rupees with the financial assistance of the Central Government and the World Bank.
The initial launch of this project was in the month of October 2019. The project has been completed after about four years. The minister said that the party belongs to each, development is for everyone. The state government is working towards the overall development of the state under the slogan Sabka Sath Sabka Prayas. Along with this, the State Government and Bidyut Nigam are working to deliver electricity services more smoothly to all levels of people. The power minister said that the government is taking steps from now to ensure that there is no problem in power generation if coal and gas run out in the future.
By 2030, the state has set a target of generating 500 MW of electricity with the help of solar energy. Efforts are also being made to build hydroproject plants centered on the 4 rivers of the state, Khowai, Manu, Deo and Muhuri. The power minister said that modern civilization cannot be imagined without electricity. Therefore, the present government of the state has paid special attention to maintaining uninterrupted power supply. The government is also considering whether a solar park can be set up in the state in the future. He also said that the key to development is electricity. He requested everyone’s help to stop electricity theft. About 4011 consumers of Kamalghat, Yubatara, Lembuchra, Kalapania, ICAR areas will get benefits due to the commissioning of 33 KV Lembuchra sub station.
