Agartala: Nov 18: Yet another success in its fight against drug, the NCC police station on Friday arrested a drug dealer along with brown sugar in capital Agartala said sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) New Capital Complex (NCC) Paramita Pandey who led the operation.
Speaking to NEL the SDPO informed that on the basis of specific secret information regarding stock of drug hidden in a house behind the Ginger hotel, they raided the said house and during search recovered 14 pouches having some 170 gram of brown sugar worth ₹40 lakh and cash ₹23000.
The owner of the house one Ratan Debnath who is the suspected drug dealer has been arrested and police has lodged an NDPS case against him.
The arrested person is being interrogated to get information regarding other gang members involved with him in the drug trafficking and he shall be produce him in the court on Saturday.
