Agartala: Nov 17: An MBBS doctor arrested on charges of rape and cheating, the incident took place on Thursday in Dasmighat area under Teliamura police station.
According to the incident, Surajit Das, a doctor at Teliamura Hospital, a resident of Master Para area under Melaghar police station, got involved in a romantic relationship with a hospital nurse in Agartala. Their deep love lasted for about six to seven months. Often that nurse in Agartala used to rush to the rented house of Doctor at Teliamura Dasmighat. Allegedly, at that time two people had physical relations. In May this year, doctor Surajit Das called the victim nurse to his rented house in Dasami Ghat. There the complainant offered the nurse sexual intercourse. But the complainant refused this offer. The nurse clearly informed that she will not have sexual relations. After that Doctor Surajit promised to marry the nurse.
After receiving the doctor’s promise, the nurse engaged in physical relations with the doctor. Later, when Doctor Surajit wanted to have sexual relations with the nurse in the rented house again, the nurse prevented him. Allegedly, he physically assaulted her for not engaging in physical intercourse at that time. In this context, the victim nurse approached the Agartala Women Police Station, seeking justice. The complaint was transferred from Agartala Women Police Station to Teliamura Police Station. Teliamura police received a case. Case number- 118/2022 Teliamura police station Police of Teliamura police station started investigation under section 376/417/325/506 Indian Penal Code Act.
In this context, the victim nurse approached the Agartala Women Police Station, seeking justice. The complaint was transferred from Agartala Women Police Station to Teliamura Police Station, Teliamura police received a case, Case number- 118/2022 Teliamura police station. Police of Teliamura police station started investigation under section 376/417/325/506 Indian Penal Code Act.
Meanwhile, according to Teliamura Divisional Hospital sources, the victim nurse used to sit in front of the hospital for hours with her own car and used to chat with the accused Surajit Das.
