Agartala, June 14 : BJP national president J P Nadda is set to arrive in Tripura on June 16 to address a mega rally in South Tripura’s Santirbazar school ground to mark nine years of Narendra Modi government at the Centre, said BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee on Wednesday.
The rally which is expected to be attended by party leaders and supporters from South and Gomati districts will be held on June 17.
BJP state in-charge Mahesh Sharma, Sambit Patra, the party’s northeast coordinator and organizational general secretary Phanindranath Sarma will also join the rally, he said at a press conference.
“Naddji is scheduled to land MBB airport at night on June 16 and will have a meeting with the party leaders including Chief Minister Manik Saha over organizational matters. On the following day, he will meet two prominent citizens of the state and heads for rally at Santirbazar”, he said.
Bhattacharjee said the party’s national president will leave the state on the same day.
“The party has already geared up to success the mega rally to be organised to mark Narendra Modi’s nine years in power. Over 35000 party leaders, workers and supporters from South and Gomati district will join the rally”, he said adding One more rally will be organized in Khowai district in future to highlight Modi government achievement in the past nine years.
