Agartala May 31: The state government gets what it wants from the central government. Its advantage is the only double engine government. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha expressed such an opinion in a workshop organized with BDOs of different blocks at Pragya Bhaban in the capital on Wednesday. Central and State Governments have various schemes of Rural Development Department including REGA, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission.
BDOs and other officials of different blocks of the state participated in the workshop on them. Inaugurating the workshop, the Chief Minister shed light on various issues related to these projects. He said that the projects brought from Delhi are shaped by BDO and other officials, which is not disputed. Better performance across the board has been possible for BDOs. The chief minister said that an advertisement will be made for the recruitment of new engineers. Besides, the Chief Minister said that the relationship between BDOs and Panchayat bodies should be strengthened. The chief minister also said that the communication of BDOs with public representatives should be strengthened. Then the development work will get more speed. 1 lakh 30 thousand 695 houses have been given to the central government after asking for 1 lakh houses through Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
Tripura state got only 24,990 houses before 2018. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is determined to make Tripura a model state. The Chief Minister said that the state government is moving in that direction. On this day, the secretaries, officials discussed various schemes including REGA, Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in the workshop. Chief Secretary JK Sinha, Secretary of Rural Development Department, Additional Secretary, Officer and others were present on Wednesday.
