Agartala, May 20: A headmaster of primary school in Sabroom subdivision was served show cause notice by the authority for gross misconduct in duty, an official said on Sunday.
The show cause notice was given to Niranjan Nath, the headmaster of Durganagar primary school based on the allegations brought by the newly elected School Management Committee.
In the complaint, the SMC claimed the headmaster used to use students to collect scraps from nearby rubber plantations. Besides, he used the students to message his body during the leisure period. More so, the headmaster used to eat the tiffin from the students.
Based on the complaints, Director of Elementary Education Subhasish Bandopadhyay issued a show cause notice to the headmaster on Saturday. He will have to reply by one week failing which the department will take disciplinary action against him.
Ananta Paul, one of the SMC claimed, the headmaster who has been working at the school for more than 12 years manages mid-day meals which is against the guideline. “We want the authority to take action against the erring headmaster because the students are frustrated with him”, he said.
