In order to promote e-Governance in a holistic manner towards fulfilling the initiative of Digital Tripura and bring transparency in the administration through paperless office, the Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Monday inaugurated a Smart Training Centre and Training on Digital Tripura Initiative at the IT Bhavan in Agartala.
First of its type in the state, at a time 60 persons can get trained on SMART governance implying: simple, moral, accountable, responsive and transparent governance, in the training centre that shall operate and under the Directorate of Information Technology of the state government.
Speaking to reporter after the inaugural programme the Chief Minister said that with the ultimate objective is to delivery of public services closer home to citizens, simplify the process of accessing them and bring transparency in the system, the present government is promoting e-Governance and steadily computerizing the government departments.
So in order to ensure efficiency and reliability of such services at affordable costs, skill development of the government staff and officials is necessary where this training centre is going to play a vital role.
Other then the CM, IT Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, Chief Secretary JK Sinha and other dignitaries were also there in the inauguration programme.
Recently the state government has also taken an initiative towards digitilizing the state assembly and transforming it paperless.
