There is a possibility of setting up an Ayurvedic medicine manufacturing center in the state utilizing various medicinal plants in the hills of Tripura. Tripura Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha made this claim while participating in the discussion on Advantage Healthcare India 2023 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi today. He also added that Tripura government is working on a dynamic and progressive policy in health services.
He said India’s One World One Health vision under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which includes holistic healthcare for all animals, will help prevent disease, reduce costs, improve food security and save lives.
Shri Saha further said that Tripura Government is working on a dynamic and progressive policy in health services. Many patients from neighboring Bangladesh come to Tripura for treatment. If world class medical infrastructure is developed in the state then the people of Bangladesh will also benefit. They can receive medical services at low cost.
According to him, there is ample opportunity to coordinate modern medical methods with AYUSH. This service is in great demand among the citizens of Bangladesh. Therefore, there is a possibility of building a border multi-specialty hospital in Tripura. On this day, he said, an international standard Ayurveda and Yoga school should be built in Tripura by utilizing the commercial potential with South East Asia. Tripura will become the gateway to South East Asia once the connectivity through the Sabroom Bridge becomes operational. He expressed hope that it will create commercial opportunities in Tripura.
