Agartala, January 16:
Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday met the bereaved family members of late Bishwabandhu Sen, former Speaker of the Tripura Legislative Assembly, at his daughter’s inlaws residence in Agartala.
Dr Sarma held a brief interaction with the family members of the late Speaker, expressing his deep condolences over the demise of the veteran leader.
Recalling his close association with Bishwabandhu Sen, the Assam Chief Minister said that he shared a cordial relationship with him during his political career and remembered him as a respected and affable leader.
After paying his respects and offering words of solace to the grieving family, Dr Sarma departed Tripura for Assam later in the day.
