Agartala, July 29 — In a bid to accelerate development and address grassroots-level civic concerns, Minister and local MLA Sudhangshu Das chaired a comprehensive review meeting on Tuesday at the conference hall of Ambedkar College, Fatikroy. The meeting brought together key officials and stakeholders to deliberate on critical issues affecting residents across various Gram Panchayat areas under the Fatikroy Assembly Constituency.
The session was attended by departmental officials from the Kumarghat Subdivision, the District Sabhadhipati, heads of Gram Panchayats, and other key stakeholders. The discussions centered around improving essential public services, including clean drinking water access, road and transport infrastructure, stable electricity supply, and healthcare facilities.
Minister Das emphasized that ensuring the timely delivery of basic amenities is vital to maintaining the state government’s commitment to inclusive development. He underscored the need for improved coordination among departments to eliminate delays in project execution.
“All departments must work in synergy to ensure that incomplete projects are finished within set deadlines and new initiatives are rolled out efficiently,” he stated. He also highlighted the importance of direct engagement with local bodies to better understand ground-level challenges and tailor solutions accordingly.
During the interactive session, Gram Panchayat heads raised issues such as inconsistent water supply, damaged rural roads, and irregular power outages. The minister directed concerned officials to prioritize high-impact problems and ensure rapid redressal.
The meeting concluded with a collective commitment from all stakeholders to intensify efforts for timely implementation of schemes and improve overall governance in the region. Residents welcomed the initiative, expressing hope that the renewed focus on civic issues would lead to visible and lasting improvements in daily life across Fatikroy.
