Agartala, May 13:Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, along with several of his Cabinet Ministers, took part in a massive ‘Tiranga Yatra’ in Agartala on Wednesday to celebrate the success of Operation Sindoor, under which recently the Indian armed forces’ strike against terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
The symbolic procession began from Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhawan in Agartala and saw the participation of hundreds of people from diverse backgrounds, who marched through the streets of the capital city waving the national flag and chanting slogans such as “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Hindustan Zindabad.”
Speaking to reporters during the event, Chief Minister Saha hailed the courage and precision of the Indian armed forces — including the Army, Air Force, and Navy — for the successful execution of Operation Sindoor.
He also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s strong leadership in responding to terrorism with determination and clarity.
“This Yatra is a tribute to our brave soldiers who have avenged the Pulwama attack by striking deep into terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and PoK. The nation stands united in support of our security forces and our Prime Minister, who has sent a clear message that India will not tolerate terrorism,” said CM Saha.
The event follows last month’s tragic terrorist attack in Pulwama, Kashmir, in which several innocent tourists lost their lives.
Operation Sindoor is widely viewed as a decisive and strategic response to Pakistan-sponsored militancy, aimed at dismantling terror infrastructure across the border.
The yatra concluded peacefully, with participants reaffirming their patriotic spirit and unwavering support for India’s national security and sovereignty.
