Agartala: April 09: Pragyat Prasun, a talented student from Tripura, achieved first place at the KVS National Level Science Exhibition held in New Delhi on April 7 and 8, 2025. The event, organized under the banner of the “52nd Rajya Stariya Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani (RSBVP) 2024-25” by the National Council of Education Research & Training (NCERT), showcased the scientific and mathematical talents of students from 25 Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) regions across India.
Pragyat presented an innovative concept of a Sewage Cleaning Robot, designed to address the limitations of existing sewage cleaning methods and reduce health risks associated with manual scavenging. A student of Class 8, Pragyat has been creating robots from electronic scrap since childhood, with his ideas evolving into remarkable innovations under the guidance of his teachers and principal at KV JNU, Delhi.
In addition to his scientific achievements, Pragyat has set eight records, including five world records in yoga. In 2024, he had the opportunity to discuss his aspirations in robotics and yoga with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Pragyat, who recently moved to Delhi, aims to continue contributing impactful innovations to improve human lives and bring further recognition to Northeast India.
