Agartala: Mar 23: On Sunday, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for a market shed in Ward 36 of the Agartala Municipal Corporation, with an estimated cost of ₹65 lakh. The event was attended by Deepak Majumdar, the MLA of Ramnagar constituency and Mayor of Agartala.
During the event, Mayor Majumdar addressed journalists and commented on an alleged attack on a CPI(M) party meeting. He attributed the incident to internal factional conflicts within the CPI(M), describing it as an expression of group rivalry among their former supporters. He further stated that the CPI(M)’s internal disputes have become evident and accused the party of attempting to mislead the public by blaming the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the incident.
